Grilled on the grid - always a good meal
It does not always have to be a turbo grill - it is also simply a cozy and culinary delight.
It was two years ago, since I have swapped the stressed city for happiness in the countryside in the beautiful Tyrolean mountains. Although I lost a lot, I also gained an incredible amount. Instead of hectic, relaxing gardening has come. Here my soul has found peace and realization. I have discovered completely new sides of life, although I still carry some ballast with me - but that's another story.
Life on the land is wonderful. We do not need to look far for the benefits, I think, nature is lush, the air is clean and fresh, a walk starts right in front of the house, you have enough domestic and forest animals around you. In this time of year you will be cheered up by gentle birdsong, in the garden your own vegetables will be harvested and childhood on the land is a real adventure. Life is made easy here! At least I have this feeling especially through my wonderful neighbors, family Prantl. Although they all do heavy, peasant work every day, their lives are characterized by positive attitude to life and joy. With them, life is just beautiful. I have always wished for such neighbors and would wish that to anyone. I like it very much when you meet with a smile and a good mood. As the saying goes: good mood is one of the spice of life. In addition, we share cooking pleasure and enjoyment of good taste, although each of us has a completely different way of cooking. But that's what makes it so interesting and inspiring. If you are open, the traditional and the modern cuisine mix well and it comes to a really tasty portion of variety on the plate. The mixture makes it: preserving the old and trying new things.The cooking soul of my dear neighbor is Maria. She is a real Tyrolean farmer's cook. And who of you does not know them, the good old country kitchen - the real enjoyment of the country, peppered with ancient knowledge and peasant wisdom. It could teach you how to make almost nothing out of it, how to make the taste more intense and better with all the basal seasoning and ingredients that tastes best in harvest harvesting and nothing to do with home-cooked seasonal produce. Their recipes are usually simple with a certain refinement and are guaranteed to make you happy. I've already cooked with her across the country garden and tried many of my previously unknown dishes and recipes. Maria proves to me that with a few basic foods true delicacies for the simple, but also for the spoiled palate on the table can be conjured up. For me it is a great treasure chest of inspiration, how to prepare a variety of foods from just a few basic foods. You can convince yourself of it: if you happen to be hiking on the Haimingerberg or skiing in the Kühtai, make a stopover with her. Their hospitality, friendliness and openness are amazing.Enjoyment is simple - in quality, in the right preparation, in the selection of ingredients and food - so I would describe it with a few words.
I digress again. But now I have introduced you to my dear peasant neighbor Maria Prantl.

Today it is "fueled" with her. Finally, after the long winter grilled again! And Mr. C. and I are invited. Juhuuu !!! The first barbecue this year.This enjoyment under the open sky - with the first rays of the sun not only spring, but also our hunger sensations awake. The garden furniture we have brought in the beautiful weather immediately from the winter quarters, scrubbed the terrace and at the same time we were grabbed by the "grill fever". I would actually be really good on the grill, if I finally got the right reading between the fingers. That's why I ordered a few books worth knowing and I also discovered some barbecue courses at www.weber-grillakademie.com, which I would like to visit in the future. If I've saved enough for this 21-piece dream garden set, then there's the big barbecue party with me. In the meantime, we are doing the usual simple barbecue sessions.
With this intense spring awakening, there are hardly any people in their own four walls. Everything sprouts, greens, blooms and smells - well, nature lures us out with all its available resources. I have already started my gardening. Now everything is still a bit gray, but in a few weeks we enjoy the rich green and the flowers. I am now looking forward to walking barefoot over the grass. But now I have to quickly organize a little attention for family Prantl, so I show them how much we are pleased about this invitation. Ah, I already have it - spaghetti, lambrusco and real Italian olive oil from our last trip to Loro Ciuffenna. The Lambrusco also fits perfectly for barbecues (what a coincidence, the neighbors had exactly the same idea - at the table stood Lambrusco, which I had given them from the trip to Italy last year - so we have a wonderful comparison of the different Lambruscco brands).As we walk in good spirits, hand in hand, to Mary, the grill aroma suddenly rises in our nostrils. Now it is very clear - the barbecue season is open. We are here in the country and that is the beautiful. We may call ourselves the average griller, even though Maria is a true barbecue master to me and the festivals have 100 times better and more cordial atmosphere, like the big city festivals and galas. No menu plans are drawn up here, ingredient lists written, decorations planned and drinks for every course served. Here is worked with what is currently there. You just want to be together with your family and friends, enjoy a good-humored lunch and have a delicious meal together with the rusty delicacies. But spend hours or days with preparations? No thanks!Everything is simple, natural, warm and above all authentic. For us a leisure adventure in a smaller circle, where we can share our barbecue joy together. Maria and her daughter Nicole all have simple recipes for relaxed barbecues. Recipes where the marinades and sauces are stirred together quickly and easily. And what's on the hot griddle (here it does not matter whether charcoal, gas or electricity heated), you look at each and every whim. Everything succeeds here quickly and fairytale uncomplicated. One, two, three - the food is ready for a nice, funny barbecue Sunday - but grilling is twice as fun.Who grills, has more enjoyment. Who enjoys has more of life. Maria and Nicole think of everyone and everything. They provide enough variety and variety - just to make sure that every barbecue fan will enjoy it! With her, the dream of the table-top-you will always come true. No matter if you are a sausage fan, meat tiger or a lover of vegetarian grilled food - there is always something for every taste. Very relaxed, without frills and insanely licky. Here it does not matter which grill, because not the grill is the focus. But what's on top of it. This is not about getting the last out of the turbo grill with the latest technology, but relaxed enjoyment. The most important ingredients are sun, pleasure and barbecue fun! Crispy, spicy, tender - buttery steaks of happy animals, crunchy vegetables and fruity desserts - everything sizzles and smells of rust for lightheartedness, pleasure and a culinary hot day. Now life is really nice easy going. Ahh, I just love this outdoor time! So go up the glasses - and Cheers! For a relaxed, happy start to the barbecue season. Go outside! All day sun on your skin, wind in your hair and feel the earth under your feet, treat yourself to a break from everyday life. And friends, Barbecues is a wonderful opportunity to get together with friends, relatives and neighbors and have fun cooking in the open air.Do you know that feeling when everyone gathers around the grill? The smell of the self-grilled food sizzling under the lid, the conversations and laughter around you, the relaxed atmosphere that surrounds everyone and the joy of serving the food. These are the extraordinary moments in our everyday life.
My God, we were almost forgetting to mention our dessert because of our talk about our friendly neighbor grill. Maria is always prepared in a straightforward way to conjure up some fine dessert from just a few basics from her stock. According to the motto the look gets the 2nd place - it must taste, Ratz-Fatz is a delicious ice cream with healthy banana bits, punch and chocolate sauce on the table. With a few simple steps she has created us together with her daughter Nicole this little dessert heaven. That's what I call culinary improvisation talent. With her, every time unexpected visit for coffee, she always has an ace in Ärml for it. And since our barbecue was still late in the afternoon, we were lucky enough to enjoy their delicious gugelhupf with a cup of coffee. There is still place for me after the lushest food.
All in all, a thoroughly successful barbecue with delicious grilled delicacies, an outstanding cook as a hostess and a very loving family, in whose circle we like to spend our time. Thank you for this wonderful day and your exceptional neighborhood.
